| How we got started | ||

The idea for Capricorn Soaps and Botanicals came one homemade Christmas in a warm, humble kitchen. Little did we know that first batch of soap would bring such change and creativity into our lives! Once the Christmas goodies arrived at their destinations, the phone began to ring, e-mail began rolling in. The questions were all the same........"Are you selling this stuff? I want more!" We continued to experiment and began producing small batches of soap for friends and family. Every batch carefully made and new blends created, each met with anticipation and enthusiasm by anxious family and friends, who continue to lovingly test our products for us. As they gave away bars and talked about it to friends, slowly more and more people were enticed into a new experience of the daily ritual of bathing. Realizing the prevalence of highly processed and fragranced products on the market, Capricorn Soaps and Botanicals started to take shape. Our goal is to help meet the growing demand for quality natural body products. We use only quality essential oils for fragrances, 100% vegetable food grade oils, and organic botanicals that are minimally processed and homegrown whenever possible. We believe there is an inherent value and uniqueness in products that are hand crafted with love. Because of this, we have begun to infuse oils with botanicals for use in our products. Capricorn Soaps and botanicals produces its line with the intention of as little environmental impact as possible. We do not use essential oils or botanicals that come from endangered or overtaxed resources. We use recycled/recyclable/refillable products whenever possible. Capricorn Soaps is a cruelty free company and we do not use animal ingredients or animal testing in the creation of our products.
